USSD for NIN Retrieval. 

To use this service, simply go through the following steps: dial *346#

MTN Share and Sell using SMS. 

Send an SMS with the word transfer, followed by the recipient's number, amount and PIN to 777, e.g. Transfer 08031234567 1500 1234 to 777. You will receive an SMS asking you to confirm that you want to make the transfer.

All MTN users have been informed that there are changes in USSD Codes. So, if you are using MTN, you might have observed that *556# with other variant codes are no longer functioning. 

This is also applicable to *131# the data code. Below are the new codes which may pick your interest.

1. For airtime recharge, the new code is *311* Voucher PIN #

2. To check MTN airtime balance, the new code is *310#

3. To borrow airtime, dial *303#

4. To buy data, dial *312#

5. To share data, dial *321#

6. To check your data balance, dial *323#

7. For MTN Value-added Services, dial *305#

8. To link your NIN to your MTN line, dial *996#

9. To check your MTN phone number, dial *123#. Choose Account Info or 1.

From the new menu, choose My Number, and your number will be displayed in the pop-up on your screen.
